Center for Social Capital & Environmental Research

Partnership | Innovation | Progress

Our core values

The core value of CSCER is to drive growth and prosperity for disadvantaged communities. We partner with organizations aiming to address critical issues in global health and environment.

Effective problem-solving for greater societal contributions relies on data-informed intervention. Leveraging the power of data, we aim to provide actionable insights and reproducible capital for better decision-making and community empowerment.

Our mission is to promote values and cultures that improve science-society relationships. We do so through engaging in research whose objectives are directly in line with the interests of the local and global communities: better health, safer society, and cleaner environment.

Who are we

We are a team made for ambitious projects delving into the complex questions in health, environment and social sciences.

Global health

Our research encompasses broader public health areas including lifestyle, diet, nutrition, chronic diseases, mental health, sexual and reproductive health.

Environment

Linking sustainable agricultural practices with food and nutrition security, promoting environmental literacy for collective action on climate change.

Our end goal is to connect research and community!

Colleagues working together on project

Human society could not possibly have advanced this far without scientific research. And we must keep working to ensure that science and technology are directed toward solving the most critical issues of the global community including health, social well-being, and climate change.

We work hand in hand with local communities to make sure that the knowledge is invested in communities through better access to healthcare, rural empowerment and livelihoods for the disadvantaged communities.

Promoting social well-being and environmental sustainability are two of the most important challenges of our time. Without a solid understanding of the links between society, environment and human behaviour to their entirety, we'll never be able to make the right decisions for the future. That's why it's so important for researchers to continue investigating on the socio-environmental factors we live with to inform policies targeted to improving health and quality of life.
